Was a party created twice in Cavalato? No worries! In this article, we’ll show you how to merge parties so that the data in your database always stays up to date.
Go in Cavalato to the "System" – "Relationships" tab.
Use the filters here to search for the desired party.
In this list, select the party you want to keep.
Check the details of the party. Is this the one you want to keep? Then go to the "Duplicates" tab.
On this page, you will see an overview of all parties that Cavalato has found that may be the same as the selected party. Tick the desired parties (the ones you want to merge) or use the handy "Select all" button.
You can use the filters in the columns to refine your search.
Selected the desired parties? At the bottom of the page, you can find an overview of all the parties you have selected (and that will be merged). You can still remove parties from the selection here by unchecking them.
Click on to merge the parties.
You will then see the next page. Under Email, you will find an overview of all email addresses entered for the underlying parties. Select which email addresses you want to keep (you can select multiple).
Under Accounting number, you will find an overview of all accounting numbers linked to the underlying parties. Select the correct accounting number from the list.
Checked all the data? Then click the "Save" button to merge the duplicates. Note! This action cannot be undone (not even by our helpdesk).
