How does the online appointment system for estimations work in Cavalato?


In Cavalato, you have the option to allow your customer to book an online appointment for estimations. This article shows you how it works.

How does the online appointment system for estimations work in Cavalato?


In Cavalato, you can allow your customer to book an appointment online for 'Estimate'. This article explains exactly how this works.
You can send your customer an email with a link to book an appointment online. To do this, go to the "Communication" tab in the job.

Press 'New' to create a new communication.

Under the communication templates, you will find a template named 'Link online appointment'. Select this template.

This template contains a link to a 'public page' where the customer can book an appointment. A unique link will be generated per job.

After clicking the link, the customer will see a webpage showing available time slots. Which time slots are displayed depends on the configuration set in your database.

If the customer chooses an appointment, the following screen will be shown. The appointment will only be definitively scheduled once the customer clicks 'Confirm'.

After clicking 'Confirm', the customer will receive a confirmation email. If the customer wants to change the time slot and/or date of the appointment, they can click 'Edit appointment' to reschedule.
In the Cavalato job, the date and time for the estimate appointment will be automatically filled in. This field will also be updated in the job if the appointment is changed.

If you prefer not to let your customer book the appointment themselves but want to use the appointment system internally, you can click 'Select estimate appointment' in the job.

You can book an appointment internally in the same way. The advantage here is that the system takes into account the available times for estimates and the presence of the estimators.


You will also see a screen here to definitively confirm the appointment. Once you complete this step, the appointment will be booked. A confirmation will also be sent to the customer.
