How can I schedule a new rental?


You have set an appointment with your customer and need to schedule a replacement car? In this article, we will show you step-by-step how to do this.

In your Cavalato job, you can already indicate whether your customer wants a replacement car. We have also provided an option where you can indicate whether your customer has a preference in terms of gear and/or whether it concerns a rental car from an external location.


All the necessary information checked in the job? Then now is the time to schedule a rental car.

How can I book a replacement car?


To create a new rental, you can go to the ‘’Job’ - “Planning” tab in Cavalato.

Go to the ‘Rental’ tab here.

Has a rental already been created? Then it will be visible on this tab. To create a new rental, press the ‘New’ button.

If you wish, you can enter a ‘Reference’ when creating the rental. This is not a mandatory field.

Select the desired customer. Have you linked the relations to the job? Then these fields are automatically included from the job.

Enter the desired period.

Cavalato will automatically suggest the unrented replacement cars. Select the desired replacement car.

Below, select a reason for the rental.


Completed all details? Then be sure not to forget to save your adjustments!

After saving, the reservation will become visible in the ‘Rental’ - ‘Rental planning’ tab. The reservation will always be displayed in a blue colour.
