The task types, the standard for creating an estimation. By default, we have already provided some task types for you, so you don’t need to create them manually.
Did we forget some tasks? No worries! You can still manually add task types. We will guide you step by step on how to do this.
To create a new task type, go to the "System" tab in Cavalato.
Under "System", select "Task Types".
Here, you will see an overview of existing task types. Want to create a new one? Click the 'Create' button.
Fill in the fields to create a new task type.
Optionally, you can add a Dutch/French translation for the task type.
Don't forget to link general accounts to your new task type! These accounts are necessary later for invoicing.
For the color, choose a color to visually represent the task in the planning tool.
A required field is the order. Here, you can indicate the order in which tasks should be scheduled. Enter a number.
Do you need a task where employees can clock in without a job? Be sure to check the 'Jobless' and/or 'Taskless' box.
In the category, specify whether the task belongs to, for example, labor costs, painting, mechanical work, etc.
In the final step, indicate whether it is a productive or supportive task. Don't skip this step! It will impact reporting, as the type is used in the breakdown of the time tracking report and also affects the repair phase report.
Filled in everything? Don’t forget to save your new task type! You can now use it immediately in your estimations. To use the task in time registration, you will need to configure it under employee efficiency settings.
