Easily keep an overview of active jobs that still need work?
That’s exactly what the archive was created for. Is your job fully completed? Then place it in the archive! This keeps your job list short and helps you maintain a better overview of the jobs that still need to be completed.
We’ll show you how the archive works in the FAQ below:
The archive is an option that is linked to user permissions. Archive rights are assigned by default to the ‘Job administrator’ role. Want to modify user permissions? Contact us via support@carscan.be for more information.
To place a job in the Cavalato archive, go to the job’s timeline. Under the ‘Closed’ status, you’ll see the following two sub-statuses:
Closed (to mark the job as closed)
Archive (to place the job in the archive)

You can check these options separately or together. This means you can mark a job as ‘Closed’ (by checking the ‘Closed’ box), and then move it to the archive (by also checking the ‘Archive’ box).

Conditions for archiving a job:
To be archived, a job must meet one of the following conditions:
In the timeline, under the status ‘No repair’, either ‘Total loss’ or ‘Customer decision’ must be checkedor
An invoice with the context ‘main invoice’ must be created in the job. So you can archive jobs with statuses other than ‘No repair’. The status of the job will not change when it’s moved to the archive.
Jobs placed in the archive will not be visible by default in the job list. You can find archived jobs by clicking the ‘Archive’ filter in the standard filters.
