How does the SMS system work in Cavalato?


Quickly send a communication to your customer? In Cavalato, we have provided the option to send and receive text messages. In this article, we'll show you exactly how this works.


How does the SMS system work in Cavalato?


To send a new text message, you can go to the ‘Communication’ tab in Cavalato in the job.

Press the ‘New’ button to create a new communication.

Under type, choose ‘SMS’.


Enter your customer's phone number.


Enter your message for the customer. The title is optional. It will not be sent to the customer. We do display the title in the overview of communications in the job.



Once you have entered your message, it is time to send your message. To do so, press the ‘Send’ button.


From the moment the SMS was sent, the status in the overview will change from ‘New’ to ‘Sent’.

If your customer were to send a reply to your message, we will notify the job administrator/assessors of the job.

We notify the job administrator/assessor in 2 different ways. First, a pop-up will appear in Cavalato notifying you that a new SMS has been received in the job. You can press the pop-up to go straight to the job.


Missed the pop-up? Or just didn't have time to check it? No worries! You can revisit the notification under the notifications tab.


Read or replied to the text message? Then press ‘Done’ at the notification to mark the notification as read.
